Domaine Lapeze is a 200 year old farmhouse, which is an original pilgrim resting place along the route to Santiago de Compostela. It lies in the French countryside, 25km south-west of the town of Cahors in the department of the Lot. Lapeze stands in its own 12 acres of hilly countryside, of which there are 4 acres of plum orchards (prunes d'Agen) and 2 acres of vineyard. It is situated up a quiet road away from all the traffic, and yet only 2km from the village and 1.5km from the nearest supermarket.
The village, Montcuq, is thriving. It has shops, 4 restaurants, 3 bars, a small market of home produce held during the summer on Thursdays and a much larger weekly Sunday market all year.
We offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation (chambres d'hôtes), and also a self-contained Cottage (gîte), which is ideal for 2-4 people, and Les Terrasses, also ideal for 2-4 people. Both gîtes are built of the local Quercy Blanc stone and are let on a weekly basis.
